2006 Meeting Minutes

8:00 Meeting called to order.
Mike K. asks about minutes from 2005 convention meeting being read. Joan Dean Rowe motions to accept minutes, 2nd Donna Pearce. All in favor.
Members introduce themselves. 14 attending.
Mike - Newsletter's new editors will be Donna Pearce and Debbie Marbut. Discussion on conditions Donna will take the newsletter.
There are no record of finances.
Motion made to support cost of newsletter. 2nd by Maxine Plummer
Donna asks for contact person from each district.

Mike - Angel McPherson has done an excellent job on the website. Address for Angel in on Togg website under officers. She needs more information for site. Past information also. Boxes brought to meeting contain much past information.
Mary Schmidt - Where are the photo's for this years All-American. Discussion on sending photo's electronically
Mike - Club was three years in arrears paying for website. Linda Campbell has forgiven past debt. Motion to approve future expenses.
Angel - Fees for breeders on website. Discussion. Maxine Plummer moves that anyone pays their dues should be listed. 2nd.
Mike - Shows UK Buck list. Asks that All American entries be sent to Greta. Please do not write on back when taking photo. Avoid herd names or other information in photo. Inquires as to the owner of Togg Talk. The mention is made of Dona Palmer.
Jan - Bell Ringer. The forms are on the website. Previous years awards and "Bells" are discussed. No luck at finding bells. In the future bells should b e awarded top place.
Joan - motion - Life-time awards to be opened for past records. Recognition for completed life-time records. Maxine Plummer 2nd.
Jennifer Mellett asks for membership list. Mike will get list for her.
Mike - Tracey Jones will continue with Specialty Shows.
Maxine Plummer asks about youth award.
Mike - $75 in past.
Joan - Refers to 2005 minutes. Uncertain if Mallory Curtis received award. $150 or jacket/chair.
Mary Schmidt - Her daughter received chair. Mary will take a photo and send it to newsletter editor. A thank you note had been received by the club.
Maxine - Motion to continue Youth Award. 2nd by Robert Blair. Maxine will have Paul Plummer write about the program for web-site.
Mike - Dues - We need to collect dues. Full membership is $15.00. Discussion about amount. Suggestion not to raise fee's. Secretary/Treasurer is elected position. Need to address position. Quick, professional manner of response. Mike will discuss with Cathy Pindell. Newsletter advertising - Business card size - $10.00. Also offer 1/2 page and full page.
Joan - Who will pay dues. Mike will take dues. Angel McPherson will write receipt.
Mike - Fundraiser is Mike. Is there anyone interested in doing the job? Discussion on raffles at convention. Mike will find someone to accept the job.
Maxine - Is website able to remind members of fundraising efforts.
Mike - Display boards - Club owns 2. The old one has had much hard use. The new board - purchase price $700.00 has been damaged. Many of the photos also destroyed. The board is in limbo now. Are we going to demand replacement/reimbursement. Mike will resolve.
Joan - Spotlight Sale Togg. Details given on sire and dam.
Mike - Very few nominations of Toggs to Spotlight Sale.
Joan - Had the only Togg for Colorama Sale.
Mike - Spotlight purchase of $5,000.00 has returned $10,000.00 to him. Can be deducted from income tax - good write off.
